Coming in May - 2026 Youth Scholarship Presentation at Awards Night May 14, 2026
Applications are now closed, and student interviews were completed on Friday, May 1, 2026, on the Delta High campus by our Rotary Scholarship Committee Chair, Laura Uslan, along with committee members Kim Tranum, Thom Wiseman, and Rev. Margaret Boles.
The Rotary Club of Walnut Grove extends its appreciation and congratulations to all students who applied. Scholarship recipient announcements are coming May 14, 2026 — stay tuned as we celebrate these outstanding young leaders and their bright futures ahead.
2025 Youth Scholarship Presentation at Senior Award Night May 2025!
Hats Off to the 2025 Class and their accomplishments. Our Rotary Scholarship Committee Chair, Laura Uslan with committee members Kim Tranum, Thom Wiseman, and Rev Margaret Boles, conducted the student interviews on campus at Delta High. The applicants made it very hard to select, as all were the best.

2023 Presentation at Senior Award Night 5/17/2023!
Our Rotary Committee Chair and Co-President, Laura Uslan with committee members Kim Tranum and Thom Wiseman, conducted the 2023 student interviews on campus at Delta High School. An astonishing 22 applications, essays, and subsequent interviews has resulted in the highest amount of recipients in club history. Join us on Wed May 17, 2023 at Senior Awards night and witness our clubs presentation of very deserved scholarships.
Along with Co-President Laura and Tom, the men and women of the Rotary Club of Walnut Grove are pleased and proud to be awarding these scholarships and extend our congratulations and good wishes to each member of the Delta High School Graduating Class of 2023.
2022 Youth Scholarship Program and Recipients!
On May 12, 2022, Rotary Club President of Walnut Grove Jan LeRoy, presented the 2022 Senior class 15 scholarships - an incredible number reflecting the higher education bound students. The committee, lead by Dave Stirling and the Rotary Board unanimously agreed and added the two additional scholarships for the Salutatorians. Congratulations to all the scholarship recipients who work very hard and earned their recognition. It has also been announced Dave has retired from the Rotary committee chair and passed his duties to his successor, Laura Uslan. The Rotary Club of Walnut Grove extends its deepest gratitude to Dave for all his years of hard work and accomplishments mentoring our students. We too, welcome Laura and know she is the perfect successor for the Scholarship program.
2021 Youth Scholarship Program and Recipients
Rob Globus, President and Dave Stirling, Committee Chair of the Rotary Club of Walnut Grove presented our club Scholarships to Delta High School students in multiple categories. To achieve a RCWG scholarship, a student completes an application and interviews with their school counselors and the RCWG Scholarship committee, chaired by Dave Stirling. Some of these achieving students are the first in their families to attend college or trade schools.
Proudly, all Memorial Scholarships have been funded in memory of a beloved family member or business associate, and most graduated from Delta High School in years passed.
2020 Youth Scholarship Program and Recipients
This 2020 year of the covid-19 pandemic, found Dave Stirling working extra hard to make sure the scholarship applications arrived. In the end, He determined 9 applicants are deserving and worthy of receiving one of our scholarships.
