Since 2013 club member, Dave Stirling, has been chairing this committee in the selection of scholarships for our Youth Scholarship Program. This 2020 year of the covid-19 pandemic, found Dave working extra hard to make sure the scholarship applications arrived. In the end, He determined 9 applicants are deserving and worthy of receiving one of our scholarships.
The Rotary Club of Walnut Grove congratulates the following 2020 scholarship recipients and wish them all much success in their future education.
- Adrian Duenas Ramirez, Valedictorian, The Dennis W. Leary Memorial Scholarship of $1500;
- Mary Carli, The Harvey Lyman Memorial Scholarship of $1000;
- Stephanie Cervantes, The Van Meyer Memorial Scholarship of $1000;
- Yamileth Martinez, The John Stewart Brown Memorial Scholarship of $1000;
- Katie Pauline Rodriguez, a Walnut Grove Rotary Scholarship of $1000;
- Karson Kohler, a Walnut Grove Rotary Scholarship of $1000;
- Tiffany Velasquez, a Walnut Grove Rotary Scholarship of $1000;
- Maren Hanchen, a Walnut Grove Rotary Scholarship of $1000; and
