Topic: Delta Signage Project

Installing wayfinding and interpretive signs in the Delta.  The Delta Signage Project will improve wayfinding in the Delta and inform visitors about the Delta's unique features.  The DPC is seeking the community's input on what features (e.g. businesses, agro-tourism, recreation areas, historic sites, etc) the signs should highlight.

About the Speaker:

Kirsten is a Senior Environmental Planner with the Delta Protection Commission.  The DPC is a state agency committed to the protections and health of the Delta.  Kirsten's primary role is to ensure orderly, balanced conservation and development of the Delta land resources and improve flood protection.  She also oversees implementation of the Community Action Plans for the Delta legacy communities.

Prior to joining the DPC, Kirsten worked for a private consulting firm helping local, state, and federal agencies plan for the future of their water resources.  She has a B.A. in Environmental Studies from University of California, Santa Cruz.

In her free time she enjoys hiking, identifying wildflowers and volunteering at the local animal shelter.
