Celebrating 75 Years Together

On May 22, 2023, 67 people came together to celebrate and honor all of our Rotarians for the incredible work accomplished over 75 years.
Thank you all!

The Man Behind the Scenes

As Chair of this event, John Stutz, coordinated this amazing event.
Thank you for the Club Services you do all the time.

Stunning Floral Centerpieces!

Just enough beauty to share 75 years of fellowship.  The talk of the evening was in full bloom about the homegrown flowers by master gardeners, John Stutz and Lyn Emery.  Those two magically transformed the beauty in the room with Lyn's amazing artistic skills, she prepared our beautiful table pieces.

The Perfect Setting

The Grand Island Vineyard and Winery Barrel Room.

Co-Presidents Laura and Tom Uslan

In their normal style, Laura and Tom, provided just the right amount of celebrations and awards for well deserved club members and some guests.

Thank you to everyone who came out tonight, including in spirit,

75th Anniversary Program Booklet!

It was difficult, but 75 years of history was condensed into 32 pages in the program booklet.  Eight pages of photos, Through the Decades, and lists of Past Presidents, Secretaries, and Treasurers is a significant portion of the history.  Members and their generations deep families are honored, those who have passed from this life, along with the Lifetime Achievement Award for Dennis Leary.  International work, Scholarships, RYLA, the Speech Contest, Chromebooks for all students, and third graders dictionaries are highlighted as the other work we do is listed too.  The program booklet wouldn't be complete without special mention of our Bell.  Thank you Barb McGowan for getting the program to print.

Invocation American Cross
Awarded to Thom Wiseman

Besides Thom's dedication to his Rotary work, he has faithfully provided our invocation.  His inclusion of so many aspects of our club, local happenings, and on up to worldwide events, is always a part of his moments he shares.

It is with great gratitude to award the beautiful American Flag cross.  Given in appreciation for Thom’s thoughtful and timely weekly prayer offering during our Rotary meetings.  Amen!

Paul Harris Fellow Award #3
Awarded to Dan Salazar

Dan is one of the most giving Rotarians!  Both with his heart and his Service Above Self.  This evening saw Dan receive his third Paul Harris Fellow award as earned.

Dan, thank you for your Service.

Lifetime Achievement
Recognition to Dennis Leary

Recently, Dennis was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from our Rotary Club of Walnut Grove.  Dennis has over 66 years of Service to our community.  His father, Dennis W Leary, is the founding member of our club.  It is amazing how Dennis has continued to carry a family legacy to a much greater level.  All of his Rotary family and friends always want Dennis to know just how loved he is!  This recognition is well worth celebrating again!
Photos are being reviewed to see how to get rid of the fuzzy!
