President's Project - Robert Globus 2020-2021 - All About Local
As a Presidential Project, Rob's goal is to stand behind our local schools and assist them and their students with any of their needs, including helping work through distance learning challenges. Many of the students in our local schools are the children of the people we employ in our area. Rob feels that we as a club and as individuals have an obligation to assist these students by helping to provide them with whatever they need to open up the opportunities our great country holds for them.
Furthermore, Rob is looking to continue all the programs we have been participating in for many years. Our speech contest, dictionary handouts, RYLA, and scholarship program can continue as always, with slight adjustments of course. This includes concentrated measures to meet our Rotary Foundation goals
President Rob continues to monitor when we can return to our regular in-person meetings in the Koinonia room at the WG Community Church. Until then and in these unprecedented times, technology is where our future is. Zoom meetings, Smile.Amazon, and Facebook. If you are looking for help with any of the technology platforms our Rotary Club is embracing, please let us know. There are online tutorials or members willing to help.
Update, as another Presidential Project for 2020-2021, a $6,000 is presented to Bates Elementary Chromebook project.

On Monday March 25, 2021, President Rob presented a check for $6,000 designated to purchase additional Chromebooks and accessories such as a charging station.
