Tim has been actively and successfully developing the Financial District of Walnut Grove, CA - almost singlehandedly.  In addition to this incredible feat, Tim demonstrated survival during a year that was not easy.  It was super easy to honor him during the District Conference on May 1-3, 2026 showing our respect and admiration for not only his Presidential accomplishments, but his incredible FAMILY.

Tim’s Rotary journey is deeply rooted in family, and that legacy is on full display this weekend.  Together, they’ve created a foundation of service beginning in 1988 that Tim has carried forward, first as President in 2016–2017 and again in 2025–2026.
 
A Rotarian since 2010 and a former Rotary scholarship recipient, Tim’s commitment to “Service Above Self” started early and continues to grow.

At the Rotary District 5180 Conference, President Tim is making the most of a memorable weekend alongside his family in beautiful South Lake Tahoe. Accompanied by his parents, Carol and Jim Cook, and his three children, Tim is truly surrounded by what many would call Rotary royalty.

While Tim is attending keynote sessions and connecting with fellow Rotarians from across the district, Carol and Jim have stepped in to support behind the scenes - keeping the kids engaged and enjoying all that Lake Tahoe has to offer. Their presence reflects the strong family spirit that continues to shape and support our club, and by all accounts, it looks like everyone is having a fantastic time.

This weekend is more than just a conference. It’s a moment to honor and express our gratitude to an incredible family, shared experience of service, connection, and community across generations. Tim and his family are representing our club with energy, pride, and heart.

 

CNN and the Force Behind the Family

His dad, Jim, a Rotarian since 1988 and Club President in 1994–1995, continues to be a vibrant presence - known through Rotary for his crowd-favorite Cook News Network (CNN) monologues at meetings. Alongside him, Carol is a true force behind the scenes, generously contributing countless hours of support through their local insurance business and quietly helping make so much of the club’s work possible.

Both Tim and Jim are three-time Paul Harris Fellows, reflecting a shared dedication to giving back that spans generations.

In recognition of her meaningful contributions, Carol is also a Paul Harris Fellow.
