Meeting Make-up Opportunities

Did you know there are several ways to make up a meeting?  You can now make-up 21 days prior or 21 days after a missed meeting.  Individual member goals should be perfect attendance at meetings, including the following methods of makeup opportunities: 
 
  • Attend a Monthly Board Meeting on the second Wednesday of the month at High Noon, lunch is provided, so RSVP your meal.  Locations are listed on our WalnutGroveRotary.org website.
  • Attend our club workdays or special events.
  • Attend a club function including Committee meetings, Club Clean-up Days, Volunteer at our Local Schools, or Other Club-approved Project Work.  Ask the Committee or Events Chair to sign off your attendance.
  • Perform the Sergeant-at-Arms meeting responsibilities for 2 weeks in a row, including Greeter, set-up and tear-down.
  • Attend a District 5180 Rotary Function including District Conference, District Planning Sessions, PETs Training Sessions, Rotaract meetings or functions, Interact meetings or functions, Rotary Youth Exchange Student planning sessions or functions, and other team functions.
  • Multi-day Rotary meetings or functions count as multiple make-ups with Board approval. These would include RI International Convention, District 5180 Conference, and RYLA camp as a volunteer.
  • You are welcome at any Rotary Club in the world.  Attend another club's Rotary meeting, including out of the country. Take a flag, bring a flag.
  • You can make-up for a missed meeting online.  Just click on the following link below.  20-30 minutes is all it takes.  Have the attendance form emailed directly to PickersParadise650@gmail.com or immediately print it and hand deliver it to Barb at the next meeting.

Your attendance is an important part of Rotary. As a friendly reminder of that fact, a missed meeting without being made up is subject to a $20 fine and due to our club.  Just mail your payment to the club PO Box 81, drop it off at Meyer and Cook, or hand it off at the next meeting.
 
Reporting Make-ups To Your Club Secretary anytime you have participated in a Rotary function and need it recorded as a make-up, please contact your club secretary at PickersParadise650@gmail.com or CLICK HERE to answer and submit the questions about your make-up (it will take about 2-4 minutes).
Here is what the secretary will need to know:
  • Function Make-up Name
  • Function Make-up Location
  • Function Make-up Date
  • What missed meeting would you like to apply the make-up on?
Be sure to follow up and log into your MY ROTARY account to verify the make-up has been recorded.  If you have any issues, contact your club secretary within 45 days or the record will be considered correct.
