It is with sadness, April Lewallen has notified Rotary of her mother, Diana Lewallen's passing. April has kindly provided our Club the time and date of Diana's celebration of life.

In Memory of John Lewallen~

Family Man, Funny Man, Man's Man, Song Master,
and the Ever so Handsome Man.

John Lewallen, passed December 8, 2021 at the age of 91.

It is with deep sadness we share the passing of our Fellow Rotarian, John Lewallen. He will be remembered as a caring, funny, and wonderful man. Our sincerest condolences to Diana and the entire Lewallen and Rotary Families.

The Rotarian in our Community: John Lewallen joined The Walnut Grove Rotary Club on March 27, 1972 - 49 years ago. He was proud to be a Rotarian and served as Past President in the 1984-1985 year and served on the Board for many years. John was a very special guy and liked by just about everyone. With the loving help from family members and as his health made it impossible for John to be in-person at our meetings, John took to Zoom like a pro and attended when he was able to.

The Family Man: Long time Walnut Grove resident, John loved his family and wasn't afraid to say so. Our sincerest condolences to Diana and the entire Lewallen family.

Greatest Memories:

I'll always remember my first introduction to the ever so handsome John. He was walking towards the door of a Rotary event with two beautiful woman - one on each arm. His wife, Diana, introduced herself as well as their friend. John smiled as only John could and said, "Who needs a walker when I have these two beauties!" And, the fun never stopped.
