The Rotary Club of Walnut Grove is honored to serve as Gabriella's international sponsoring club for this Rotary Global Grant. As the Rotary club serving her rural home region, our club was proud to sponsor her application and support her journey toward advanced international study.
Through the Rotary Foundation Global Grant program, funded by the District 5180 Elio J. and May C. The Rotary Club of Walnut Grove is proud to be part of Gabriella's educational journey. We look forward to hearing from her along the way as she shares updates on her studies and experiences abroad. When she returns home, we will be honored to welcome her back to our club to share how this extraordinary opportunity has shaped her future.
Congratulations, Gabriella! We wish you every success as you begin this exciting new chapter.

Rotary Club of Walnut Grove was chartered in 1948 and our club is located in NorCal at the southern tip of Sacramento County, in the quaint town of Walnut Grove. Bridges, ferries, boats, and our volunteer first responders are a part of our daily living. A historical town established in 1850 by John W. Sharp, Walnut Grove is one of the earliest settlements along the Sacramento River. The town quickly prospered as an agricultural center and riverboat stop. With Bartlett pears as its primary product. Today, acres of vineyards, cherries, nut trees, wheats, and pears are just some of the products harvested each year.
Established in 1948, the Rotary Club of Walnut Grove has continued to serve our community, with an emphasis on education. Our town, club and its membership is rich in history and legendary families. Our Club's history is comprised of multi-generation members and has generation of members, even father, son, and grandson members. We made Rotary history in 2018-2019 when our then President gave birth to a beautiful baby boy during her Presidency term. As members pass, legacies are left and loved ones are missed. Many of our members have established Memorials or special Funds. We may be just a count of 36, but you can feel the Service Above Self and community spirit to the fullest extent of the meaning.
